To be fair this MAY be the most dash-heavy sentence in the entire novel... However YES perhaps there is a certain resemblance to EPS's creative use of ellipses!
(I'm afraid I may have made this book sound more femslashy than it actually is? I'm not saying it isn't there, but it certainly doesn't reach, say, Anne of Green Gables levels.)
