TBH I think a certain segment of Jo/Laurie shippers feel he deserves that for not getting together with Jo. I mean, TRUE, the reason he didn't get together with Jo is that she refused him, but obviously he should have responded by PINING FOREVER, not getting together with Amy-the-book-burner/popover-snatcher.
