Disney has pushed the Disney princesses so hard in the last few years that they've sort of become synonymous with Disney animation, so it's been sort of surprising to discover - or rediscover, I should say, because like you I watched a lot of the anthropomorphic animal movies as a child - that there's so much more variety there. Is Disney doing itself a disservice by leaning so hard on the Disney Princess line?? Possibly!
