There seems to be a certain line in feminist thought that holds that if a woman is awful, she is by her very nature subversive of the patriarchy, because patriarchal norms say that a woman is supposed to be Pure and Good and Wholesome.

And I always feel like saying, "Eve? Jezebel? Salome?" Because the patriarchy is 100% down with the idea that women can be awful, often are awful, indeed are the more awful sex. Just plain being awful doesn't undermine the patriarchy or madonna/whore dichotomy one bit.
