Fitzgerald inserted a lot of his wife Zelda's letters (written during her first major mental breakdown, IIRC) into Tender is the Night - he actually quoted her in his work a lot, another one of those male geniuses who actually leans quite heavily on his wife. I'm not sure I'll be able to read the book without going UGH FITZGERALD, YOU SHOULD HAVE AT LEAST ASKED HER FIRST.
