milan's women usually outshine their counterparts, character-wise, with some rare exceptions; i've liked violet from countess conspiracy much more than sebastian, as well, and she was better developed and incited more of... authorial passion, of sorts? but i'm actually fine with dudes in these books being, like, nice accommodating furniture.
