Window seat!!!

In a hotel this evening - it takes a long time to get to Canada - and WE HAVE A WINDOW SEAT. It overlooks a distant cornfields and a forest and a thicket of wild yellow flowers, and I have the perfect book to read while I sit there, Linnets and Valerians. I do not intend to leave until I am dragged out by wild horses and/or the promise of pie from Perkins.

We are also back in the land of Perkins! It is pretty exciting.

I know you're probably still on vacation, and won't see this until you get back, but look what's happened!

Now, if they just have the same genderswap idea we did... But I'm excited to see Emma from these creators, even though Welcome to Sandition didn't end up interesting me.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH THAT IS SO EXCITING!!!!!! I will be so excited if they have any variation of that genderswap idea, because that would be just golden. Although doubtless I will love it if they don't!

I also didn't find Welcome to Sanditon that interesting - I stopped watching sometime back in June, maybe - but I figure this one will have more story to it the Sanditon, which seemed to rely very heavily on the interactive element.

IT HAS TO BE AWESOME, RIGHT? There's so much to work with in Emma.

I know! I'm hoping that Knightly will be in it from the very beginning - preferably wandering around in the background going "Emma, maybe you shouldn't post that on the internet..."

One of the things I love about Emma is that they're friends and, despite the fact that he's much older than she is, equals in a way that for instance Fanny and Edmund aren't quite. They're one of my favorite Austen couples.

"Emma, maybe you shouldn't post that on the internet..."

"...didn't you see what happened with that Lizzie Bennet person? Show some discretion."

And at some point he must burst in while she's making a video and give a her a dressing down with "BADLY DONE EMMA" in there somewhere.

I would like it if they have the same relationship as in the book, with each having married siblings, rather than what Clueless did and making them step siblings. Because there's time to develop it here.

Yes! If he references LBD that would be AMAZING.

And of course "Badly done, Emma!" must appear somewhere! And the fact that she posts Knightly's rant, unflattering as it is, will show some character growth: that she's lost some of her egotism.

I kind of want to rewatch the recent BBC miniseries now.

And of course he should be in it from the beginning. There should be no mystery to him as there was with Darcy.

I'm wondering at the title Emma Approved. Maybe the setup is going to be some sort of advice vlog that Emma decides to run?

I could totally see her running an advice blog. OH EMMA.
