Cat cafes and other things

Japan clearly has the best cafes. Here's an article proving it: Killing Time in Japan's Cat Cafes. With photos! Photos of adorable cats strolling around a cafe, providing feline companionship for the unfortunately catless!

There's an art store four blocks from my apartment with a pair of cats. It's right next door to the boutique grocery with all the fancy chocolate, and the anarchist bookstore.

It's going to be a great weekend. Emma & Ryan are coming to visit! My parents are getting back to New Zealand! I have a copy of Code Name Verity to read!

I just need to buckle down and finish my paper/my grading. Stubborn face! I will make it through!

I need a cat cafe. Well, I need a cat. I get by with petting my neighbors' cats.

(Kitty (in icon) died last summer and I have not yet gotten around to finding The Perfect Feline.)

As [livejournal.com profile] amanen says, the best business synchronicity opportunity is to combine cat cafes with an animal shelter. Then, you'd get to play with the cats . . . AND MAYBE TAKE ONE HOME WITH YOU. Right? And it would give the animal shelter revenue, so yay.

I will be very, very interested in what you think of Code Name Verity. I haven't read it yet myself but I've been reading reviews with great interest.

LOL. I think zoning laws should *require* juxtapositions like that.

P.S. There's a fic of yours I haven't read yet--a Sutcliff one, I believe. I haven't forgotten. . .

I will also be interested in your thoughts on CNV! I enjoyed it, but didn't love it the way a lot of people did....
