Apple Cider Float

I had a hot spiced apple cider float today! (As a side note, in Australia an ice cream float is called a spider. Thus, it could have been an apple cider spider.) The difficulty inherent to this concoction may be immediately obvious to all of you, but I have a cold and am therefore thinking more or less like this:

"Apple cider good."

Pause.

"Ice cream good."

Longer pause.

"Apple cider + ice cream = better!"

So I bought an apple cider float, laden with whipped cream and caramel drizzle, and repaired to my table with a spoon and a contentedly dim smile. Oh rapture! Oh bliss! Oh whipped cream and - wait, where was the ice cream? Had they forgotten to put it in? Were the ice cream fairies punishing me???

Even with all the ice cream melted, it still tasted delicious. It's hard to go wrong with hot spiced apple cider.

TEA BALL!

ALSO ALSO. I can't believe I forgot to post about this before! Not only did I get an apple cider spider today, but I ALSO GOT A TEA BALL. So now I can brew loose leaf tea! I will be a real tea drinker, drinking fancy tea! Confetti all around!!!

I almost got the one shaped like a tiny teapot, but then I decided that it was maybe a little kitschy. (And also four dollars more expensive than the regular tea ball. Shhh.)

Wikipedia informs me that tea balls are also occasionally called tea eggs, which I think is just perfect. Because from the tea ball, the tea is born! Yes? Yes?
