I think this is a related but slightly different problem, though. The issue for children's book authors is only sometimes that cell phones destroy the plot they want (for instance, in Maizy Chen’s Last Chance, Maizy would probably not spent all this time listening to her grandfather's stories if she could be snapchatting her friends 24/7), but even if the plot could survive intact, the vibes would be wrong.
